About Teams Blog

Picture of Jim MorganTeams Blog is a place for discussion of proven methods for improving team performance. It is written by Team Coach Jim Morgan of TeamTrainers Consulting. Jim is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) who first trained self-directed work teams in 1994. Jim added exhaustive research of the academic and business literature about business teams to his real-world team development experiences to develop his unique approach, The SuddenTeams® Program. He has reviewed more than 500 sources to date, most of them scientific articles from peer-reviewed journals. Using his early background as a reporter, he “translates” teamwork science for managers and employees through Teams Blog; TeamResearch News, an online collection of study summaries; and his book, a “do-it-yourself” version of The SuddenTeams Program.

Prior to founding TeamTrainers in 2000, he held management positions in several industries and has been a trainer, project manager, and technical writer, working at such varied organizations as Microsoft, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Washington State University, and the supplier of a major component of the Apple iPod®. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Missouri and a graduate certificate in project management from the University of Washington.
